the fashion brand clinic podcast - episode 107 - going viral with dhillan @ ratchet clothing company
This week I’m introducing Dhillan Bhardwaj, CEO and Founder of Ratchet Clothing.
Dhillan tells us how he quit college to start a unique and affordable unisex clothing brand for people who wanted more than what you would find on the high street.
He hasn’t studied fashion & taught himself everything when it came to tie dye so every item is handmade, & different in its own unique way.
Dhillan started Ratchet when he was just 16 years old when his weekend job was washing cars at his uncle's garage for £1 a car. From 2012 Ratchet has been worn by Miley Cyrus, Madonna, Drake, Rihanna and more. He even got invited to David Cameron's house when he was our Prime Minister for tea!
His brand has since grown organically & prides himself on the fact his customers are more like a big family, because he involves them in every step of the process!
In this episode we discuss :
Dhillan’s whirlwind journey to growing a business from the age of 16
The celebrity endorsements he received after going viral on twitter
Important charity work the brand does which remains at the core of his business
