A South London Makers Market was created by twin sisters Olivia and Daisy Tinker in December 2019. After hosting two incredibly successful real life markets in Crystal Palace, they pivoted online just one week after lockdown hit and have since hosted 14 online markets!
Daisy and Olivia set-up A South London Makers Market as a way to channel their passion for shopping small and highlight amazing creative talent in South London. Having lived in South London for the past decade, they both wanted to highlight these brands to more local people
The market has been a valuable lifeline for many of these small businesses, who often make most of their sales at real life market events. It has single-handedly kept many of these businesses afloat; offering them a creative, and lockdown-safe, way to sell their handmade products to a huge audience of international customers.
Daisy and Olivia now channel their (almost!) two decades’ retail experience into helping small businesses succeed; using their unrivaled knowledge to propel small businesses forward, which is something they both feel incredibly passionate about
