the fashion feed - episode 57 - the power of fashion influencers with vivien tang
Back at the start of 2020 I began working with Vivien & I loved that she had some big dreams of where she wanted to take her UK made slow fashion brand inspired by 90’s/00s fashion. Alot has happened since then & I don’t think either of us could have predicted how quickly the brand grew
Vivien had been dreaming of creating her own clothing label ever since she opened up her Depop shop when she was just 15 and has been sourcing and selling items ever since. It’s such a clever way to start because you get a good idea of what your customer likes and what sells well before you even start designing!
Vivien always found ideal pieces that weren’t her size or they were just not the item she envisioned , so she decided to alter the items to her own style. The essence of VIVI WEI grew from her love for finding 90’s/00s style clothing and how there isn’t a slow fashion brand that emulates that perfect Y2K look that is so rare to find.
