the fashion feed - episode 47 - wtf is a tech pack?! with fashion designer lottie woods

After graduating from Nottingham Trent Uni in Fashion Design, she moved to London to pursue her career as a designer. After seven years of honing her craft and learning through working within well-respected suppliers, she felt ready to offer my skills as a freelancer.

She’s designed multi-products and graphics for many commercial brands, Topshop, Miss Selfridge, George Asda, and Primark, to name a few. Now, she helps others bridge the gap between initial ideas to finalised garments.

She’s always had a passion for designing with customers in mind. It is more than trends, it’s about problem solving, attention to detail and understanding how to create fit for purpose garments and of course with sustainability in mind.

Claire @ Archive 12 and I have been chatting in the dm’s for months (maybe even years actually!) so when she asked to come on the podcast to talk about manifestation, it was a big fat YES! I’m a relative newbie to the world of manifesting and find it absolutely fascinating. Even though there is still a little bit of scepticism there’s definitely things in my life that have no other other explanation other than magic!

Hilary & Kirsten reached out to me on instagram to come on the podcast & wanted to discuss building a new brand with your best friend which really caught my attention!

Fleuri was born in the heart of Los Angeles by Hilary & Kirsten who worked together at the same fashion company. One had a knack for business while the other was skilled in design, but their shared passion was collecting timeless jewellery pieces.

the fashion feed - episode 42 - creating window displays with katie brew

Katie and I went to uni together to study fashion retail buying but our careers have gone in different directions! I thought it would be fun to speak to Katie and share her story about how she left buying and transferred to a completely different role! Katie is actually living in Germany at the moment as she works for a large retailer out there (we can’t name it otherwise she has to fill in loads of boring paperwork and tbh she cba!) haha!

Her stories that she shares in this episode are so honest & I’m super grateful to her for that! I know that whenever she says ‘for example’ that its actually something that she’s had to do for a wacky boss or client!

the fashion feed - episode 36 - "humanity is always on brand" with rhea cartwright

It took me circa 4 seconds to know who I wanted to discuss the topic of social injustice with on the podcast - Rhea Cartwright

Rhea & I met last year for a 1-1 session making a plan on how she was going to leave her 9-5 … fast forward a year and she’s writing for publications such as Refinery29 & Dazed

Rhea was so kind to make herself available at short notice to discuss the topic in detail; she shares her views on how the fashion industry has reacted to the death of George Floyd and the topic of racism which has been an issue in the industry for years.

As alot of my previous guests, Katie and I met on instagram and hit it off straight away in the DM’s!

She is a copywriter helping fashion and beauty brands to succeed by getting their content spot on.

Katie began her career in fashion journalism and whilst it was fun attending press days and eating tiny fashion week canapés, she was itching to get out and explore the world, so packed in the 9-5 and went to live in the rainforests of borneo for a bit.

the fashion feed - episode 27 - sheen london on the benefits of not being a perfectionist

Sheena is one of my previous clients and straight from the discovery call, I knew I’d get her on the podcast as her story is so inspiring! She’s incredibly hard working and her passion for the business is unshakeable.

After studying business at uni and starting a career in fashion styling, Sheen slipped a disk. As a self confessed hyperactive woman, her mind had to be kept active so she started selling customised clothing on Depop

I love the way Sheen approaches things with her positive energy and throws her 100% into everything she does, I know you’ll find her inspiring!
