the fashion feed - episode 3 with catherine erdly of future retail

My third guest on The Fashion Feed podcast is Catherine Erdly of Future Retail

She has over 19 years experience working with product businesses of all sizes from high street names (such as Laura Ashley, Coast and Paperchase), all the way down to brand new businesses with just a handful of customers.

Catherine is your go - to woman if you want to get more organised and make more money.

I first met Catherine in the spring of 2018 and it seemed like fate that our paths had crossed! Catherine previously worked as a merchandiser and I was in buying which are complimentary jobs in retail. Merchandisers work very closely with buyers to give them a budget to spend and a framework of how to spend it and this is similar to what Catherine does now with her clients.

Since our first meeting we have worked on a number of projects together and often pass client recommendations depending on the specific knowledge they need advice on. I focus on design trends & manufacturing whereas Catherine focuses more on time management and cash flow.

I knew I wanted Catherine on the podcast because she has so much knowledge to share and breaks down the topic of money into manageable and actionable advice so you can implement it into your own brand strategy with confidence.

We decided to meet in The British Library thinking it would be quiet but no such luck, there’s a lot of plate rattling and coffee making so apologies for the background noise, I’ve reduced it as much as I can

In this episode we cover :

  • How to make more money within your fashion business

  • The one number you need to know to ensure your business is a financial success

  • Minimising risk with your cash flow

  • The one and only place where money comes into your business - do you know what it is?

  • How to spot trends within your sales and using that information to determine future decisions

Catherine and I also discuss the workshops that we run together with Joanne Griffin and if you’d like to come along on 18th May 2019, you can grab a ticket here!

We're also running it in September and the link to buy tickets is here

Spaces are limited & both workshops have sold out previously so I’d recommend booking in soon!
